If you are planning on travelling through East Dunbartonshire in the near future, we’d definitely encourage you to check out the small town of Bearsden in Glasgow. Its coat of arms is as you might expect… it features a bear – and the name of the region actually comes from the discovery of a large bear’s den. We’re not sure if that means that the den was large, or if it was the bear that was gigantic – but in any event, the town is now as iconic as it is appealing to residents and visitors alike.

So, what is there to do here exactly?

After being ranked the 7th wealthiest location in Great Britain, this once quiet neighbourhood quickly underwent extensive renovations to accommodate the influx of visitors and residents of Glasgow interested in seeing what all of the fuss was about. There’s the Roman Antonine Wall that runs through the entirety of the region – and if you don’t mind a short walk you will also come across the remains of a Roman bath house which, unfortunately, isn’t still filled with warm water.

As far as shopping is concerned you will find plenty to enjoy in the form of retail outlets, fashion shops and more. Some are quite expensive and are owned by local entrepreneurs, while others belong to chain brands that have found the area appealing enough for commercial activities. In any event, there’s no denying that the stunning homes in the region, the laid back way of life and the friendly locals are just a few of the reasons that you might want to visit.

But more importantly… are there any salons here?

There sure are. From luxury spas and well-being centres, to modern beauty salons, hair care clinics and more – you will probably feel spoilt for choice. As the region is very wealthy, it’s not uncommon to see that prices are a little bit higher when booking a therapy, but that’s not always the case; you’ll notice that when viewing some of the salons that we’ve listed.

You’ll find some of our favourites featured right here on this website and once you find one that you like the look of, you can then decide whether you’d like to get in touch with them or not. If you need a little advice then don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll do everything that we can to help.
